Micrometeorology Concepts

Micrometeorology is the study of small-scale weather and climate processes that occur close to the Earth’s surface. Some of the key concepts in micrometeorology include the transfer of heat, moisture, and other substances between the air and the ground; the movement of air over the Earth’s surface; the effect of different land and water surfaces on the local climate; and the use of math and physical laws to understand and predict weather and climate processes. Micrometeorologists use a variety of tools and techniques, such as weather stations and computer models, to study these processes and make predictions about how they will change over time.
